Michael is an accomplished business leader with a track record of increasing revenues, profits and market share while driving high levels of customer and employee loyalty. He is equally capable of directing cross-functional global R&D teams.
Prior to Valydate, Michael held a variety of management positions in Business Development, Sales, Operations, and Engineering within Nortel Networks, CoreSim and most recently Fidus Systems where he led the company’s expansion into Silicon Valley.
Michael received a Bachelors of Computer Systems Engineering (High Distinction, Senate Metal)) from Carleton University and an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa. He is the recipient of many honors and awards including the OBJ 2009 Forty under Forty Award.

Mark Cianfaglione
CTO
Mark Cianfaglione leads the software and analysis development teams. His 20+ years of experience in hardware and software product design brings the insight required to ensure the highest product quality.
Mark has worked in a variety of industries including military, automotive, industrial automation and telecommunication. He started his career working as a test engineer for the military where robustness and reliability were expected. Mark took that mentality and applied it to every aspect of his career. His wide field of knowledge has helped bring normally separated teams together towards common goals.
Mark has received several awards for innovation in both the product design and manufacturing fields. Mark's education in electrical engineering and nuclear and semiconductor physics has been updated and augmented through the years to include RF, optical, software development and project management.

Peter Campbell
COO
For 30 years, Peter Campbell has earned the trust of executives and engineers by helping them meet their complex service requirements with responsive, high quality and innovative solutions. Peter has played a key business and market development role at both large established companies and successful start-ups, maintaining highest customer satisfaction ratings in all roles.
Before joining Valydate as Chief Operating Officer, Peter was Director of Site Operations for Celestica International Inc. Global Design Services in Ottawa. Prior to Celestica, Peter served as director of operations at CoreSim Inc. helping the company develop unique technologies and service models, leading to CoreSim’s acquisition by Celestica.
Peter gained significant knowledge about the communications and general electronics market during his combined 20 years as a switched mode power supply designer, CAD Tools Team Manager, Time-to-Market process leader and Design Services Leader at Bell-Northern Research and Nortel Networks. Peter began his career as a power systems design engineer at Nortel Networks Belleville, and then managed the Product Integrity function in Ottawa and during a two-year expatriate assignment in Harlow UK. Peter holds a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from the Queens University at Kingston.

Carleen Hicks
Director of Human Resources
Carleen has worked in the Human Resources field for the past twelve years, with a focus on the high technology sector. Her ability to align organization objectives and business planning within the HR function allows companies to see a greater return on investment with its work force and associated employee based investments and programs. Currently Carleen works as a Consultant for SME clients in the Ottawa technology sector, but in the past she has worked directly within companies such as CrossKeys, Magma Communications, Bridgewater Systems and many others as an HR Professional
Carleen holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba and has focused post-graduate course work in the HR and Business Administration fields.
